What does the flag "Don't Tread on Me" mean and why fly it today???

Thus the "Don't Tread On Me" flag exerts their right to harass minorities, women, LGBTQ, anti-gun activists etc.

Nothing wrong with flying the 13 star, Betsy Ross flag today (I would if I had one). I do, however, have one on a t-shirt that I proudly wear around this time of the year. It shows support for history, and our historic win. It's the first real American flag, and imo the most beautiful. I personally wish it was never changed.
