"Trump remains underwater in all seven of the swing states that he carried in the 2024 presidential election.

His approval rating continuing to decline in those states could hurt Republicans in November’s midterm elections, and allow Democrats to pick up key seats in the House and Senate.

Arizona: -12 (42 percent approve, 54 percent disapprove)
Georgia: -20 (37 percent approve, 57 percent disapprove)
Michigan: -20 (38 percent approve, 57 percent disapprove)
Nevada: -24 (35 percent approve, 59 percent disapprove)
North Carolina: -14 (41 percent approve, 55 percent disapprove)
Pennsylvania: -18 (39 percent approve, 56 percent disapprove)
Wisconsin: -13 (41 percent approve, 54 percent disapprove)

Even in Florida, a former swing state that has been reliably Republican in recent years, Trump’s net approval rating is -12, with 42 percent approval and 54 percent disapproval."

Quite frankly, I don't give a solid shit what is approval / disapproval is in North Dakota and Alabama. Not even here in VT where he's about as popular as bubonic plague. He's underwater in Texas slightly more than Florida. That's encouraging.

Sanders was overwhelmingly popular there, because he addressed class oppression. But the identity politickers sneered at them for being dirty white workers. Kos celebrated their covid mortality.

Bear in mind, there are klan types there, but also a lot of simple honest workers who were ready to hear a message of class oppression. Instead, we drove them into Fox News' arms.

This is. a state where the US Army Air Corps bombed striking workers. We could have had them.

I’m sure we all have the misfortune of having tried to reason with people who choose to pollute their consciousness with this potent mix of hatred, propaganda, and lies. It’s frustrating. Every single truth we here believe about tRump (pedophilia,, corruption, sexual assault charges), even things which are verifiable and true (he IS a felon!), they dismiss and accuse Biden or Clinton (take your pick) of doing and being. They will stare an an image of the deserted site of the 250 “state fair” while the announcer tells them “thousands are here enjoying this magnificent event” and not bat an eye.

For a democracy to survive something has to be done about this, but how can you shut down a lie factory without being accused of shredding the right to free speech? That plus the 24/7 hate radio is what has brought your country to this sad state. People are voting for their own destruction.

On the 4th, as we contemplate freedom and its price, think of these folksga

The 442nd Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment of the United States Army. The regiment including the 100th Infantry Battalion lis best known as the most decorated unit in U.S. military history,[4] and w as a fighting unit composed and elmost entirely of second-generation American soldiers g of Japanese ancestry (Nisei) who fought in World War II.

Ultimately 2, 686 from Hawaii and 1,500 from Hawaii p d mainland U.S. internment camps assembled at Camp Shelby, Mississippi in April 1943 for a year of infantry training.[6] Many of the soldiers from the continental U.S. had familiesl in internment camps while they fought abroad.[7 sy
