(227 posts)fantasizing about a Hundred Year Reich launched by the implementation of Project 2025 and authoritarian fascist rule. If we let them steal the midterm elections, they could be well on their way to achieving their goals.

(54 posts)This video is AI generated. Watch it on youtube and you get this in the description:
"DISCLAIMER: THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT, FAN-MADE CHANNEL NOT AFFILIATED WITH BILL CLINTON, HIS CAMPAIGN, OR ANY POLITICAL ORGANIZATION. THE VIDEOS ARE INSPIRED BY PUBLIC SPEECHES AND VERIFIED NEWS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND ANALYTICAL PURPOSES ONLY.
How this was made
Made with AI
Sounds or visuals were altered or fully generated. "
The Clinton Foundation did release this statement. "Statement from President Clinton on America at 250 and the State of the Country"
In an age where AI content is being created daily we have to be careful. We all need to be adept at finding these clues to protect ourselves. Clues that this video was AI generate:
1. Audio only, no video. If he was giving a speech, there would likely be video.
2. This rather thoughtful speech came out awfully quick! The Mt. Rushmore event was Jul 3 and Clinton has an organized response on Jul 4? That's AI content creation, not thoughtful speech writing.
3. Searching for the event where this allegedly took place yielded no results. That's not a deal-breaker. Maybe it was a podcast or released as an audio only speech. But it's suspicious.
4. The video was published by thebluebill.com and the audio mentions the bluebill at 3:31, 10:51, and 14:11. That's really odd to think that an ex-president just happens to be using their data. (Note: I've ever heard of them and their web site is devoid of information other than a form to sign up for a newsletter.)
5. The audio is good, but there are a few tiny glitches in there. AI speech has trouble with pacing. This one models Clinton's pacing really well - but not perfectly.
6. When you read the fine print at youtube it is listed as AI created (no longer just a clue - but the clues should encourage you to go look).

(63,952 posts)statement yesterday is in the message he posted on X, which I'm copying below.
Please delete the OP, or ar least the video. That disgusting AI-using creep on YouTube is exploiting Clinton to get clicks, and no Democrat should give that channel any attention.

It should be shut down, because it is deceiving people.
@RomeoRobinson1 has NO right to treat Bill Clinton as a puppet.

There is absolutely no reason to post fake "appeal to authority" stuff...even if you agree with it.

(63,952 posts)Democrats should find this acceptable. A lot of people seeing these videos will be fooled by them. We've seen similar AI trickery here with at least one YouTuber using Obama as a puppet to make up speeches for him. We've seen Jimmy Kimmel and Rachel Maddow used as puppets by unethical.AI users.
Often these fraudsters try to claim they're "fans" of the real people they're exploiting for views and money on YouTube. That's bullshit.
There's nothing "educational" about putting words the YouTuber wrote - or possibly just had AI write - into Bill Clinton's mouth.
These videos are fraud. At the very least, every video should be clearly labeled as NOT a statement by Bill Clinton, and NOT his voice. They aren't because the YouTuber makes more money tricking people.
DU should never be used to help YouTube con artists and spread disinformation.
