I flew into DC from Wisconsin -- where I had been attending a family funeral -- on the morning of July 4. I saw several barges anchored in the Potomac River that were among the various sites used to launch the fireworks.

after the 40-minute show. Officials issued a Code Red alert, warning the air was "unhealthy for seniors, kids, people with medical conditions."

Now that's what I call a Trump-sponsored event!
