(23,181 posts)there is an overlap of people who have been castigating the US player and team for not having integrity, that if they win it will forever taint their reputation and those supporting this candidate saying they do not care about the allegations- even if they are true.

I was never a fan of Platner, and I feel very sorry for my progressive pals who are having to deal with this betrayal (for that is what it is), but he did say so much of the right things. They really wanted to believe, AND, most importantly, he could have taken out Collins. And we all want that.
