(505 posts)I've been enjoying watching the matches a lot more than I thought I would. It can get surprising tense in the last few minutes when the game is tied or just have a 1 point difference.

Have a friendly wager with a European coworker. She hates Belgium, but thinks they have an edge. Otherwise she'd root for the US. $20 is $20. Go USA!

(16,506 posts)I believe that if that guy had stayed suspended, the US team wouldve doubled their efforts to win the game. Instead, the orange turd interfered and wound up getting everyone in the world to get pissed off at the US.

(30,122 posts)It was the first one I saw this year. I started to get interested in it with the Mexico and England match last night but I have been boycotting even though I would have otherwise been interested because of FIFA corruption and that participation trophy they gave Trump.
I do watch the Women's National Team as the US is one of the best countries when it comes Women's soccer but I think the US Men's team achieved a lot, normally they don't make it this far in World Cups.
