Pete Hegseth's pastor NPR interview, vision for America: non-Chrisians wouldnt hold office but "probably" could vote,

https://www.npr.org/2026/07/06/nx-s1-5822558/pastor-doug-wilson-interview-pete-hegseth

The radical pastor Hegseth invited to preach at the Pentagon shares his vision for America

His network of churches is still very small in the United States and his beliefs represent a minority of Christians in this country. But Wilson's proximity to power, by way of his links to Hegseth, has never been more pronounced.

___

Under that vision, Wilson told NPR that non-Christians wouldn't hold public office. Asked whether non-Christians would be allowed to vote, Wilson said, "Yes, probably," adding that there would be restrictions on public spaces for non-Christian activities.

"So probably the best illustration of this would be church bells? Yes. Minarets? No," he said.

Why?

"Because, the public space would belong to Christ," he added.

Wilson also wants to repeal women's right to vote. When asked why, he was quick to respond.

"Because it's a good idea," he said, adding that he wants it replaced with household voting, with women only voting if they are the head of their household.

Certainly not Mormons, JWs, Adventists, non-white Christians.

Many Protestants/Catholics consider each other to be false Christians.

Who will turn out to be the Christian Ayatollah?
We have plenty of religious leaders who would like the position.

second, all of this over a bunch of bronze age campfire tales, which changed over the years until someone, centuries later, wrote them down, with some embellishments and magic added to give it some pizazz.

Longest game fo telephone ever.

And boy howdy, what a fight there will be when all the varous flavors of Christian have their knock-down drag-out fight over who runs the show.

We'll be getting a "convert or die" situation. Fun.

If he "advises" the military on what is Christian and Holy, he runs the country.
Just like the Iranian Revolutionary Guard runs things.
He'll let the other Christian groups fight it out, but as long as his boi controls all the guns, he knows he's got the last word.

and the truly hilarious thing about the whole fucktangle is that he literally ticks every single one of their "antichrist" boxes.

And they are so lost in their worship of him that they refuse to see it.

I've really had enough of this nonsense.

... represents the worst of the worst in the sick perversion that now passes for "Christianity". They have the potential to make Jim Jones look like Mother Theresa. They are utterly devoid of any redeeming qualities whatsoever, and they're the furthest thing from "Christian" it is possible to be without growing horns and a tail.

The interviewer pushed him on several points (even noting his use of the c word for women) and let him hang himself.

Stained glass window shows Jesus Christ with dark skin, stirring questions about race in New England

What color/ethnicity was Jesus?

It depends on whose wall his portrait hangs.

Ben Carson's Jesus - not the evangelicals' blond, blue-eyed Jesus

Handmaid’s Tale….

Fck straight off you monster….

We still have 2 and 1/2 years of this crap. Man, I hope we have a really solid Democratic Candidate for 2028. And I hope to hell we get an incredible mandate so we have the House and Senate and clean up this mess.

All this is really harshing my retirement vibe. At 72, I should be worried about what new hobby to explore, not whether I will be able to afford basic food and necessities.

Who is a very religious Greek Orthodox, raised in the church, what if the US became a theocratic Xian country. Which Xian sect would be in control. I said the US would become like a gigantic Northern Ireland from the 1970's. Xian on Xian violence would become an everyday event. Just like the Muslim religion has been.

He actually belongs to a group that is encouraging that to take place. No doubt the conservative protestants would claim to be the head so what would happen to all those hundreds of Xian sects that would be excluded from the Xian power structure? We already know how the Catholics and the Protestants handled things in the past.

There had to be a male somewhere to vote on their behalf even if it is a dimwit brother or father.

After all, single women are the biggest supporters of the Democratic Party, and this eliminating women's right to vote is all about hurting the Democratic Party.

If they voted GOP, there would be no such talk.
