So his uber support for Israel is quite intriguing........

Heck, if I see someone kinda cosplaying to be Armenian, I will take it as a compliment!

(18,082 posts)I'm not sure what an Armenian looks like, though, other than Cher. If I dress up as Cher...nope, not doing that. Nobody wants to see that. Nobody sane, that is.

(35,327 posts)Here's a funny story about Kim
We were in a geneology chat and it had to do with this Armenian faith healer from the 1940s. We're like, "We don't that".....And this guy had long hair, wore a robe etc. The story was kinda sketchy and scammy.
Then in the article it said that he was staying at the house of so and so Kardashian. Someone said it was Kim's grandparents. We burst out laughing and we go, "Figures". So we're gossiping about this for a few minutes and someone bursts out, "I'm a Kardashian and it wasn't that way!". The group just burst into hysteria. The world is really small when you're Armenian.

(18,082 posts)One of these days I might make it. That group System of A Down has at least a couple of Armenian members, I think, and they really rock.
I had often wondered what was the origin of the name Kardashian. I thought it was from somewhere in the Middle East, but my guess was that it was Arab or maybe Persian. I tend to forget about Armenia, but they've given us many talented people.

(115,539 posts)The same bios that got him elected, so if erroneous it does show a lack of bias toward him on that score. That the poster had assumed him to be Jewish is not based on isolated reporting. I know I've had that assumption too because it was widely (erroneously, perhaps) included in his background summaries. Given many on this site reached out to support him after his stroke and longstanding mental health struggles, I don't think we have a large contingent of biased posters.
So, let's cool it on the not-so-subtle insinuations that the post/poster is "inappropriate", okay? Geez.
