Yesterday, July 14, 2026 was my aunt and uncle's 53rd wedding anniversary

On Friday, I took a card and gift card to my local post office, bought a mailer there, put the card in it and paid $11.50 to have it tracked. The clerk said it would be there on Tuesday. Perfect. Later on Friday I tracked it and it said it had gone to another facility and was scheduled to be delivered on July 14 before 9:00 p.m. Saturday it said the same. Sunday it said the same. Monday it said the same. Tuesday it said the same. Now it says it's gone to another facility, but has no estimated date of arrival.

FFS, I could've driven it to their house in 45 minutes. This is exactly what Republicans want, for the Post Office to have such lousy service so people will hate it and then they can privatize it and make money from it. Then kiss your free mail service goodbye. I just wonder why the Powers That Be in the Post Office go along with it.

So who knows where my card is and when it will get there. I should've just slapped a stamp on the envelope and taken my chances.
