Sherry Sullivan officially announces re-election bid for mayor of Fairhope
Fairhope Mayor Sherry Sullivan announced last week that she will be seeking a second term in office.
Sullivan released a statement on April 16, officially announcing her re-election campaign, having served as Fairhope's mayor since 2020.
"When I decided to run for mayor in 2020, I made a commitment to restore respect and civility to our city government, create a stable work environment for the employees and focus on growth and infrastructure, and I feel that we are making Fairhope better than ever," Sullivan said. "With all of our great city employees and with a solid city council, the past five years have shown that we can make a positive difference. It takes all of us working together to make things work well, and I want to continue to be the leader of that team by serving as your mayor for the next four years."
Sullivan listed accomplishments and initiatives during her first term, including more than $60 million in infrastructure investments and improvements to maintain quality of life for residents, adding new recreational opportunities across the city, working with city staff to help control the city's growth and other improvements.
