Oil and gas supplier says Tesla is ‘refusing to pay’ $2 million in past-due bills – and that chaotic staffing has only made it worse

A Texas-based energy supplier says Tesla is “refusing to pay” over $2 million it owes for fuel deliveries to its Austin manufacturing plant – with some transactions dating to more than two years ago – and that the electric carmaker’s chaotic internal processes have only served to make matters even worse.

Sun Coast Resources, which is headquartered in Houston and operates in 49 U.S. states, accuses Tesla of having floated “a myriad of procedural reasons it has not paid,” according to a breach of contract lawsuit obtained by The Independent.

“Tesla's only reason for not paying Sun Coast is that Sun Coast has allegedly not complied with its requirements for invoice submittals,” the company’s complaint states. “To the contrary, Sun Coast has jumped through all of Tesla's proverbial hoops and provided all the documentation Tesla has requested, often multiple times, and Tesla continues to delay and make excuses as to why it has not paid for products that it knows it received.”

Adding to Sun Coast’s ongoing frustration, the complaint says Tesla “has had constant personnel turnover and passed Sun Coast off from person to person who only conjures up some new reason as to why Tesla has not paid.”

are birds of a feather..........that is exactly what Trump has done all his life, in everything, esp his business dealings.
He has sent countless contractors into bankruptcy......and also large businesses.

AND NOW, HE IS ACTIVELY ACCOMPLISHING DOING THE SAME THING TO OUR BELOVED UNITED STATES.

not paying them what they're owned. I am guessing that all of those ripped off should get together and do a class action suit against Tesla, or at least get court rulings that hold some part of Tesla hostage until they pay their bills.

hold the company hostage until they pay their bills. Shut them out. Stop delivering fuel.

Just STOP.

Early in my business career, I told a corporate old timer that "The banks own the Airlines"
He said LIKE HELL !!!!!!!................. "The Airlines own the Banks"...!!!!!!!!!

It took me awhile to figure out what he meant, and that he was right. That was 55 years ago, now it's far worse......

musk would probably sue Sun Coast for breach of contract first! With examples like this, WHY does anyone think a businessman is the be-all, end-all for leadership in this country? (SMDH)

Musk blows 2 million on a weekend bender. Why not just pay it off and end the problem?

When I get a parking ticket, I get mad, I sometimes think I don't deserve it, but as long as I think its legit, and know if I wait the problem will only get worse, I pay it right away. Not happily, but once its done its forgotten

I've had employers do this too. I don't think honest rich people like Warren Buffet or George Soros do this. But there are more then just trump and musk that make creditors sue for their payment. And they keep finding new patsies to fall for it and supply them or do the work for them. Service providers think they hit it big when a big Corp or rich guy calls them for service. It's usually because they are shopping around for someone they haven't stiffed yet. I wonder if TESLA moved to Texas because they were running out of suppliers they didn't already owe.

Sounds like the same ignoramus who fucked up our Federal Government.

I reckon some workers when expected to work 120 hours a week for 40 hours' worth of pay don't share the same vision as drug-addled CEOs.
