Senate Fetterman: Trump affordability remark was 'clipped'

Source: The Hill

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Wednesday defended President Trump’s comment that he is not focused on the financial situations of Americans while negotiating with the Iranian government.

“He said something that got clipped … saying, ‘I’m not thinking about [the] American people financially,’ but what he really was saying — he did say, is, ‘I’m really thinking that we can’t ever let Iran [build] a bomb,’” Fetterman told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“That’s the essence of what that is, and to hold that line,” the Pennsylvania Democrat continued. “I mean, how could we just walk away and … let that happen?”

Fetterman, who campaigned as a liberal in 2022, has aligned with the president on issues ranging from the conflict with Iran to border security to the construction of the White House ballroom.

Israel has been claiming Iran was just THIS CLOSE to building a nuclear weapon monthly for the last 30 years. Iran was fine with not building one until the Child Rapist tore up the treaty.

At this point, if North Korea can have one, sure why not anyone else?

Is simple: they did play the entire quote, in context and I would argue that the context is irrelevant.

Him saying he doesn't care about the finances of average Americans while he is grifting BILLIONS of dollars from the American people is as tone deaf as this feeble attempt to cover for Mango Mussolini.

Him saying he doesn't care about the finances of average Americans while he is about to steal $10 billion dollars from the government he runs, is criminal.

Fuck him and fuck Fetterman for being a pedophile's lapdog.

As a Floridian, I must assert that he does not dress like a beach bum. He dresses like the drunks loitering around the dumpsters behind ABC Liquors, hoping someone will have tossed out a half-finished Schlitz. (Do they still make that? I was aiming for the grossest thing I could remember my dad drinking… )

And whether or not there was "more context" doesn't matter. The war is based on a lie. He's saying he doesn't think about Americans' financial situation when negotiating to end a nuke capability that he already said had been obliterated. This is who Fetterman is defending.

Sadly, we get to reap the personality and ideological changes--whether an outcome of his serious stroke, the difficult recovery, his extended mental health recovery after a psych "break,"-- or just what was there but not expressed previously. Regardless, the writing is on the wall for this "once" Democrat. Even if he is just rejoicing at his "Manchin-like" power moves and would remain a mere thorn in our sides for the remainder of his term and perhaps the next, I don't get it. Who the hell is advising him? His wife is a staunch Democrat, so I really don't get it.

The answer John is NOTHING. Same regime, high oil prices, same threat as before if not worse. So the situation is way worse than the before he decided to act. Prove me wrong John please.

... that Trump offered him a substantial financial reward if he switched parties. It's possible that he has retained just enough common sense to know that Trump never rewards anyone; he dangles a carrot, and then stiffs 'em. Hagrid can also do more damage on the inside than he can on on the outside, but I seriously doubt he'll get a second term. That kind of betrayal is never forgotten... or forgiven.

Fetterman is wrong. Period. The quote was played repeatedly in context. For a president to claim he doesn’t think of the American people financially, means he does not care what impact his actions have on them. For him to have not addressed the nation immediately upon starting this illegitimate war demonstrates his callous disregard for the burden he expects us to bear.

It appears both Fetterman and Trump are living in a different reality from the majority of Americans. I sincerely hope their circumstances change soon

Trump’s just a Netanyahu clown, where Netanyahu has been warning about nuclear war for 30 years and he finally found someone dumb enough to believe his crap!

Whilst the quote is often clipped for headlines and social media posts, the full quote with no missing preamable, words, or context does not change in meaning. Ergo "it was clipped" is an intentionally deceptive, misleading, false manner of defending the utterance... A LIE.

A lie for the benefit of The Dotard and for the benefit of MAGA Repukes.

Do better next time, PA.
