No Ordinary Cabinet. No Ordinary Time.
What do you see when you look at pictures of President Trumps cabinet?
Were used to partisan disagreement about cabinet officials. Democrats are never going to be that impressed by a Republican cabinet (and vice versa), but as with so many things, the perception gap between Republicans and Democrats has become so vast, its as if they inhabit different universes.
Trumps critics and I am one look at the lineup and see, in essence, a group of people that bears far more resemblance to a collection of North Korean generals than it does to a traditional American cabinet.
And for good reason. Trumps cabinet meetings often feature its members publicly showering the president with praise, sometimes in the most absurd terms

The author, David French, goes on to explain that the reason Trump's cabinet members seem to be engaged in nonstop fellatio on Trump (my description, not his), despite the obvious North Korean vibe, is that MAGA sees "a leader and his generals." Furthermore, MAGA judges them not by their actual competence or accomplishments, but by their ability to "enrage Trumps opponents." In other words, the awful obsequiousness and incompetence of Trump's cabinet is a feature, not a bug, because it's that very quality that triggers the libs. We are in the Upside Down, for sure.
