Municipal auction near you. Usually vehicles are well maintained lower mileage.

(15,432 posts)Might check out the repossession lot at the bank we use in Brady. The problem with this is that I remember when we lived in Houston people getting burned with these "cheap" buys from the banks. However, I do appreciate your taking the time to respond and I will look into it. If the purchase were for regular usage I would not be apprehensive, but this usage is very hard. That tin can truck would not last a whole day.

(5,708 posts)Proxibid.com has business/multi-vendor auctions as well. I purchased my autos from state auctions that were listed in auto auctions on proxibid. Some of the auction houses that do auto auctions will have several vendors in one auction that happen every Friday for example. There is usually a preview day right before the auction.

(15,432 posts)I knew this was coming but when the man who works for us says it, I know it is true. BTW, he has a wonderful truck which he never takes out on our roads but he also has a wife who works in town at the local hospital.
