from coming into my yard. My dog has alerted me several times that she is in his fenced in play area. She jumps the fence. Last night she was at the bottom of the deck stairs. I don't feed the dog out there, but I know the birds drop bird seed in there. Do they eat seeds? There is a squirrel that comes around occasionally but it's out in the daytime.
I appreciate nature and don't want to harm the fox just don't want her coming near the house or in Dakota's play area as one of our previous dog got a case of mange from rolling in fox poop on a walk.
Any suggestions. I blow a whistle when I see her in the pen. She takes off, but comes back the next night.

(11,590 posts)Use that on your perimeter. There are commercial stay away products you can get online or at your local hardware store.
Ive used a combo of my urine i collect in milk jugs, empty of course, with garlic powder added then marinated a couple days for peak smell. Keeps out porcupines, rabbits, squirrels, cats. Blood meal works in some cases if the animal detests the smell
when wet it can smell like death to critters. Really nice nitrogen complement to your plants or grass.

ScareCrow Motion-Activated Sprinkler
Scarecrow sprinklers work by spraying the animal with a harmless jet of water, to frighten them away and make them reckon twice about coming back!
The Scarecrow is very simple to set up. All you need to do is assemble the three basic components of the sprinkler, attach it to your garden hose, and follow these vital tips:
