A peaceful moment for us today

“When despair for the world grows in me
And I wake in the night at the least sound
In fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
Rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.”

The Peace of Wild Things by Wendell Berry (1968)

It's Yellowstone that has a little bit in both Idaho and Montana, three of the five entrances are in Montana. Grand Teton NP is to the south of Yellowstone and is entirely in Wyoming.

A friend who grew up in Europe once told me that it was hard to keep clear about all those "square states" in the west!

I'm about 120 miles north of GTNP so I know right where it's at.
