(2). A robot must obey an order given it by a human being.
(3). A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such self-protection does not conflict with the first and second laws.
FYI Isaac Asimov wrote a lot of robot novels and stories, mostly before the personal computer became a thing.

(413 posts)Asimov added a Fourth Law of Robotics in his Robots and Empire novel as part of the continuation of his Foundation novels. The Fourth Law is:
A robot cannot cause harm to mankind or, by inaction, allow mankind to come to harm.

(52,209 posts)In the first one, ED-209 shot the hell out of Mr. Kinney during Dick Jones' demonstration...and in the second, when Dr. Faxx built several new RoboCops out of dead cops, the first one blew away two engineers before it committed suicide.
