I hope the cost is the only major side effect, so far my arm is sore of course

(3,051 posts)becuase the virus inflames the nerves themselves. And the pain can last for months (postherpetic neuralgia).
I have Welcare Part D, I need to get my Shingrix shots soon. Hopefully they will be covered by my part D.

(1,074 posts)I found the first shot to be rather painful during the injection. The second shot, a few months later, was much easier.

(41,030 posts)Fairly cheaply with coupons. Flu and Covid shots were free. And, sadly, I have no hope that the law is going to improve anytime soon. Probably they will try to take it from us.

(23,308 posts)However, from the Medicare handbook, I see it is not a Part B covered immunization, so I don't know what they did. It is covered under Part D
RSV is also covered under Part D
Part B covers flu shots, pneumonia and Hepatitis B.
Why can't they just cover all immunizations under Part B?
Of course when I was a claims analyst for part B claims, no immunizations were covered at all.
