I'll mow through prodigious amounts - of whatever is available ! (or fallen).
But - in the 'special notice' category - tree ripened citrus - even grapefruit is (relatively) sweet, if left on the tree until 'ready' ...
Berries - again, if ripe - almost impossible to go wrong. Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries ....

Annnnd - we have an apricot tree out back - that the deer and coons think they enjoy part (if not complete) ownership of. But, if I can persuade them that I am in any way deserving or worthy ... A fully tree ripened apricot ... OMG !!

In my youth, my favorite fruit was the pear. They were so sweet and juicy. I haven't had a pear in years because it seems like they're always rock hard and never ripen. They go from hard to rotten. Where have all the sweet, juicy pears gone? 🍐

Wild strawberries were my absolute favorite as a kid. We'd go out to the field and pick them. Tiny, yet absolutely delicious, and almost impossible to find now.

many old timers in MO when they settled into the MO Ozarks. Every year was a rite of picking the fruits, canning them or making pies. Part of my heritage. Of course we had other wild things too besides the fruit trees, but too many to list. Gooseberries, rhubarb, wild strawberries, wild rose hips etc.

Especially Heirloom tomatoes! Also considered a "culinary vegetable" . Avocado also considered a "culinary vegetable".

I looked these up bc I wasn't sure but coconuts, avocados, and olives, especially since no one mentioned them.

I only maaaay sort of like one small black olive type, but I love olive oil!

No one eats a lime like a citrus fruit you eat in sections...but love lime juice.

Winesap apples do have a faint wine taste. So interesting!
