(4,761 posts)My Mom said they had a border collie mix when she was growing up on my grandparents farm. Her name was Peachy and grandma taught her to herd the kids. 😁. My poor Grandma had eight kids. Though they were spread out in age so the older one's helped watch the younger ones too.
Nimble is a beautiful and smart girl.

(3,132 posts)My wife had one when we got married (miniature american eskimo) and she was extremely smart, and extremely fast. But we had her before we had heard of agility. She would play "soccer" and bat a 2" ball between her paws so fast you couldn't follow it with your eyes, and then she'd bat it forward with her nose. Maxine (Maxi) was also dedicated to my wife and would have done anything for her.

(3,132 posts)and it would just shake off of her. People would ask us how we kept her so white, so a few times I told them we use color safe bleach in the bathwater. I did finally tell them I was joking.

(4,761 posts)Border Collies are ranked as the smartest and Papillons are 8. I see German Shepherds are #3, but I told Dakota not to let that go to his head. 🤣
