(76,583 posts)Damned things leaked eggs all over the pan.
So I returned them, just break eggs into pan & cut ends off & slap them n the muffins. Lol
Btw, they're dirt cheap to make at home!

(70,906 posts)... small town Nebraska. The one near us here in Texas was closed about the time we got here. And it was in a town that had no other grocery until about a year ago. HEB just murders the competition out here. Good thing HEB does such a good job and it's right in town here in Marble Falls.

(76,583 posts)Here in the red shithole of SW TN, we have Aldi, Wal Hell, & Kroger. I shop almost exclusivey with Aldi, except for the things I love that they don's carry like pepperoncinis & Arizona green tea. I detest Kroger.
Oh to be teeported back to the Chicago burbs... 😓

(12,600 posts)Went searching online
saw one that I loved, the knitting pattern was a heavy stitch
kinda Nordic looking..I dont know how to describe it well. Anyway when it came it was a jacket
with the knit pattern printed on a cheap microfiber fabric. It was not a knit sweater. Not going to say what country it was made in.
Found another one that was real.

(55,502 posts)licorice stick. I had no idea that the jeans couldn't be washed as I have washed all my jeans. Then I read the tag " Do not wash, Dry clean"

(16,610 posts)Wife saw an ad on her phone with a link to a website and asked if I could use PayPal to pay for it. Didn't spend a lot of time looking at it myself, but went ahead with it. It was around 10PM or so. I'm generally pretty savvy about stuff like this.
Soon as I thought I paid, another screen came up for payment. Thinking the first one didn't go through I hit submit again, just to find out I ordered a 2nd set discounted a couple dollars or so. It was very deceptive the way they did that, so now I'm mad. Went to the website, and tried to cancel, but they required an order number which I had not received in email yet. I submitted a cancellation request, but it just generated a "We will reply soon" message. At 5AM, they reply with "So sorry. It has already shipped so too late to cancel" Of course the tracking number they gave me didn't say it had been picked up until at least a full day later, so that was all BS.
I contact PayPal and file a dispute and they open a case. While the status is pending, the seller replies that they will give me 50% off if I drop the dispute which I ignore. Contact PayPal again, get a live person on the phone, and they advise me to just refuse shipment, which means USPS sends it back without me having to pay any return postage. Tracking shows it going from China to Hong Kong on some courier service and then transferred to USPS in San Francisco. When it finally gets delivered, I take it back to my post office and refuse it. Tracking number is still the same, so I update the PayPal dispute, and after one more discussion with a live person at PayPal, the case is closed in my favor.
Frustrating, and time consuming, but PayPal did a great job resolving the issue.

(2,020 posts)I dont know if this counts because it was on TV, not online. It was my first purchase from any shopping channel, probably 30 years ago or so. It was a set of five pearl earrings different colored, big and gaudy. They were hideous. They were on clearance and cheap so it wasn't worth sending them back.
Funny thing is, I don't even like pearls. I don't know why I ordered them.

(2,020 posts)and I see something I like and think "I need that." Happily, I haven't been disappointed with anything else I've bought from them since.
