Good morning my DU family,

I wrote in another post the other day that ther is no segment of any personal journey that you are sentenced to travel alone.

This doesn't eliminate the need to make those difficult choices on which direction to go and who to share that with. I can't count the number of times the voice of experience and empathy that I needed to hear was right there speaking softly.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to not only make difficult choices, but to share that process with those nearest me, and ultimately to take those incredibly important first steps that have been calling us for some time.

Have an adventurous day DU.

Love, John

conspicuously alone. I feel lonely, but at the same time find myself isolating and avoiding people. My grief counselor said that’s normal, but I feel strange sometimes. It’s like now I’m a stranger in a foreign country or something.
I don’t post much, but want you to know I always appreciate the positive sentiments you share.

Thank You!

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.

When my friend Rory died, I lost the one person who I shared so much of my day to day life with.
I found myself wanting to share or discuss a moment or event and have been left with no-one to share that with.

That's really hard. I've gradually tried talking to others, but I have to remember that developing those shared moments takes time, energy and a commitment from me.

I will say it has to be worth the effort, as those memories with Rory are truly priceless, as I'm sure yours with your husband are as well.

Please give yourself permission to be where you are, and to try new things when you're ready.
God Speed Ziggysmom.

Love, John
