To be brave, you must first be terrified.
It's not that things get easier, but rather, it's that you get better at doing those things. You get better at dealing with those things. But those things still remain difficult. It's YOU that is changing, not those "things".
To become wise, you may have to start out as foolish.
One friend can hurt you more than 100 enemies.
Broken people are not fragile. Quite the opposite.
You usually have to fail multiple times before you can internalize a feeling of success.
If other people think you are amazing, but you yourself believe you are useless...believe other people instead of yourself, because they are likely correct, and you are likely wrong.
Happy Sunday!

That's yet another irony of life!

(27,586 posts)was when it rains on your wedding day. A free ride when you've already paid. The good advice you just didn't take. A traffic jam when you're already late. A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break.
LuckyCharms
(23,378 posts)The only answers I have to that are as follows:
1) There are no free rides.
2) Don't smoke outside in the rain, especially on your wedding day, because your tuxedo will get soaking wet, and your socks will feel all squishy when you and your bride are doing your wedding dance...and that is a terrible way to start a marriage.
3) If someone tries to give you advice...don't take it...because it is bad advice.
I hope this answers your question, True Dough.

(2,757 posts)I came out with that exact feeling........ of thinking about how much I still didn't know, and actually a little frightened about that revelation.....

(23,378 posts)I achieved a 4.0 in community college, and a 3.8 at university. Honor society, President's list...all of that.
I excelled in my field.
And I've had a permanent case of "imposter syndrome" my entire life.
Because I realized I don't know jack shit.
It's a common and scary syndrome.
You have done well. You learned something difficult and noble. Don't listen to your own mind. You have done...and are doing...excellent.
