Somewhat cranky artist here...

Artist since I was 10 yr old. Mostly drawing post Art College, than painting.

Pencil (earlier-HS), occasionally pen, or brush and ink (earlier-HS), Rapidiographs (HS through ? 80's), colored pencils on colored Canson paper (mid '80's ?mid '90's+), Black cokored pencil on vellum ('80's+), fine line Sakura markers ('00's +), and plain ole Bic black pen ('10s+).

Couldn't draw for around ?18 months mid '90s from a complex set of experiences. Terrible times, but got it all back!
My skills run from good to excellent.

For the past 2 1/2 yrs I've mostly used (after running across it) a fabulous digital art app on my phone. While it has purely B,&W pencil, charcoal, ink "brushes" - I've worked in color 95% of the time w usually paint "brushes" - water color, oil, acrylic.
.
So I've rarely picked up a physical pen in this time.
When I have - wow, have my skills dropped! 😔
Most likely several months of re-practicing will get me up to speed; but, oh, soooo frustrating, dispiriting in the mean time!

I did some in Art HS! Not too good at it - hand built. I think if I'd taken Ceramics 2 ; I'd gotten to use The Wheel.

I do have a friend who's been a serious, hobbyist ceramicist for nearly ?50 years. Some wonderful works!

If you've never seen a photo - look up Korean Moon pot. Lovely shape! 👍

mom was a wood carver . inherited the art from here as we had a craft box in the den when wee were kids . i have a fused back. couldnt do the electric wheel and or the kick wheel as one had to be hunched over and mr . back wouldnt let me do that . i gave up and used other means to do cerammics . including pinch, coil or a combination of both. also did tile .

Fussd back? Sounds tricky, sorry you have it. Not being able to use the wheel makes sense.
I never tried coil. I don't think they offered it as a method.
And you made, like, square, or rectangular tiles?
A former co-worker made tiles, and his wife painted them. Very nice items!

While totally different one of my aunts made wood-block prints. Some would be a single B&W print from small to big.

Other times she made multi-colored ones of at least 3 colors, often a bunch more.
Oh, she was soooo good a printmaker!

When I went to visit her and my uncle in a little village in Western Switzerland she let me pick, and take several prints home! 🥰

Woah...lemon wood, who knew. Of course, though, why not, it's a tree!
Sorry it was difficult for her.
