I used to listen to Cake pretty much daily on my commute. Since Covid (working at home), then getting forced out of my job I don't listen to music very often. Thanks for posting this fabulous song!

Lots to like.
The prechorus may be a respectful nod to Sweet Jane. Same changes, same feel. I think it unlikely it's an accident.
The song is quirky so these guys have to know Velvet Underground. Quirky knows quirky.
