Maura Tierney, whom I regard as a delightful actress, is the sole performer in the scene which goes on for about a minute (maybe without a camera cut). If you watch the scene, your mind will likely bring it up every time you hear the song.
By the way, there really does exist a Scotland, Pennsylvania.

I enjoyed a performance of Three Dog Night in Pittsburgh back in the mid-1980s. Corey did an extended tribute to Jackie Wilson. Great performers were the three, Chuck Negron, Corey Wells and Danny Hutton.
