Related: About this forumAbandoned Kewpie

Kewpie is a brand of dolls and figurines that were conceived as comic strip characters by cartoonist Rose O'Neill. The illustrated cartoons, appearing as baby cupid characters, began to gain popularity after the publication of O'Neill's comic strips in 1909, and O'Neill began to illustrate and sell paper doll versions of the Kewpies. The characters were first produced as bisque dolls in Waltershausen, Germany, beginning in 1912, and became extremely popular in the early 20th century. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kewpie
Rose Cecil O'Neill (June 25, 1874 April 6, 1944) was an American cartoonist, illustrator, artist, and writer. She rose to fame for her creation of the popular comic strip characters, Kewpies, in 1909, and was also the first published female cartoonist in the United States. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_O%27Neill

This looks to be one of the plastic versions, probably produced in the 1990s. It's been sitting there, by a house on my street, long enough to gather cobwebs and mortar dust.

Thanks so much for the links explaining the origin and history of this little doll.
It's a great photo! Poignant and surprising in its own way.
