        Not sure, though, which plant it is. The pink or the yellow? Or maybe both?
Funny how destruction can enable new life to grow.

(26,116 posts)2. It's the purple-ish blooms that dominate ..
        Ironically, Sherwin-Williams Fireweed Red is nothing like this color .. the paint color being a more subtle red. We have used that paint color in various decorating schemes for years!

        There were hundreds of millions of wild flowers in the burned areas.  Over Labor day in Sept of '89, the fireweed was spectacular. 
Mother nature can make you forget the tragedy that occured when you see what she has done to repair it.
 
  
Flowers, like rainbows are her way of saying  "sorry".
