Related: About this forumAmtrak Superliner Sleeping Car Tour
This video is a tour of the types of sleeping car & coach accommodations to be found onboard Amtrak's 'Superliner' western long-distance trains.
I put this video together primarily using footage from trips on Amtrak's California Zephyr & Empire-Builder.

(11,780 posts)1. We toook strip from Portland to whitefish Montana (I think)
Cant remember the Montana town for sure but the sleeper car started in Seattle. If I remember right we were regular coach from Portland to Seattle. Any way, the cost was comparable to airplane tickets and it was a very cool experience.

I've always wanted to take a long distance train trip with sleeping accommodations, etc., and it was very interesting to see what kind are available and all the amenities. Thanks for sharing.
