Related: About this forumSnow Moon Night Scene

February's full moon is named the Snow Moon for what is typically a month with heavy snowfalls. Some Native American tribes named it the Hungry Moon or the Bear Moon.
The full moon is out of the frame to the left, or East of where I stood to take the shot tonight. It was obscured by clouds and falling snow. While the moon isn't visible, it is illuminating the clouds and brightening the scene behind my house.

The brightness is from a combination of backlit clouds, outdoor lighting and an aperture that was nearly wide open (f2.2).
