(3,659 posts)I sometimes watch TV shows set in beautiful places just to experience this. But then they have to interject conflict, like Virgin River having all that drug criminal enterprise. So this, pure beauty, is welcome.

(98,434 posts)You mean the Middle Fork of the Salmon River?
What part(s)?
I've spent a couple summers up near the headwaters, back in the 1990s. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and I've been around a bit.

(98,434 posts)The only river that I know of colloquially as the "Middle Fork" is that of the Salmon River in Idaho that run into the Columbia. Technically, any river that has three or more main tributaries could have a middle fork.

Nice place! I've been to the falls a couple times, it's pretty magical looking. Kind of feels like you should be looking for sign to the Shire or someplace out of the Hobbit!
