I got an earlier rainbow to the right of Half Dome some years back, but this tops it.
And the webcams were improved a year or two ago.
Lots of fun to watch them.

Here they are, you can copy the link addresses. They are live, so they will all be dark as I post this.
If you can't copy the image URL (mobile devices), I am including URL's missing the h, so you can copy and paste and bookmark.

Half Dome over Ahwahnee Meadow/Ahwahnee hotel (behind the trees)

High Sierra (shot from Sentinel Dome)

Yosemite Falls (wait until it starts raining in the fall)

El Capitan. (basically Valley View, from Turtleback)

At this moment, the improved camera shows stars, and 4 climbers on El Capitan, just left of middle.

Profound sky, rainbow light, ancient trees and living mountain with it's jagged glass face and reflection in the substantial rocks scattered in the foreground. Really fine pic, thanks for posting.

Patience, and persistence: those come from over 50 years of watching nature.

Interesting finds include a snowman on Ahwahnee meadow (it's normally closed to protect the soil) and what looks like a coyote there.

Somewhere in the disk full of photos.

I was invited to a conference there once, and it snowed mid-week. Wow, what an experience. Nothing at all like rest of the year. Pretty magical. I'll go look for some of the pix, taken with very cold fingers.

Links are given in a reply I made earlier.

Just FYI, you can copy links on an iphone.
Hold your finger down on an image, and look for "share" in the popup menu.
Share via email, and in the draft email, copy the link in the message body.
Send or dismiss the email message.

Sometimes, you click, and WOW.

The valley was full of smoke for days from the Garnet fire.

So nice that the valley cleared.

Unlike using a camera, where you see the scene and click,
With the webcams, you click and see.
Well, this was completely unexpected.

Happy to share that magic moment, that lasted so short a time.
The cameras update every so often, not continuously.

Next visit, I think I'll take a view camera, grow a beard and wear a big cowboy hat, and pretend I'm Ansel Adams, less that awesome Woody Wagon he sported.

I mentioned in another post that I was at a conference there when it snowed mid-week.

It was unlike any other time of year, and the others are not so shabby!

Winter webcam photos are pretty nice, though snow sometimes covers the camera on Sentinel Dome.

I'll find some snow in the valley photos and some of the easier hikes.

The webcams are positioned for some moments that are truly magical, thanks to the high altitude (Half Dome is over 8800 ft. high) and the unusual geometry, cut by glaciers. And clouds, of course, the photographer's friend.

Didn't have to sign up. We camped in Yosemite and did it all in one day no base camp. We left early and got back at 10pm which was insane last part from one of the waterfalls down was by flashlight.

One of my memories was a guy sitting next to box at foot of half dome with leather gloves because you had to hold onto metal bars. It wasn't like it is now where you can walk or have railings on side. It was very scary with bars going up and you had to hold on for dear life when people came down same bars. It was like looking down a mile to if you fell.

But on top I sang that song I am on top of the world looking down on creation.

Yosemite is breathtaking and was one of my favorite Parks to visit. We rented a cabin on "the floor" of the park way back in the '70's.

(My mother had a bad case of the travel bug.)

It's a real treat to get those "high altitude" views every day of the year from anywhere.
