(38,898 posts)We were on vacation to Ocean City Maryland once when I was small and my mother just loved the crape Myrtle bushes that were everywhere. She made my dad stop at a nursery to buy one and the man there asked us where we lived. My dad said, in Ohio, and the nursery man said if we lived north of Columbus he wouldnt sell us one because it wouldnt survive the winter. My mother was just heartbroken 😔.
I really love the wavy lines of the blooms in your first photo, Peggy. And the colors in the last one are gorgeous.

(5,140 posts)You do know how to spread the sunshine. May I ask? I wonder if you were ever officially a teacher?

Being a parent also involves teaching, come to think of it!
