Handy hint

Last edited Tue Nov 4, 2025, 06:40 PM - Edit history (1)

Especially for all the geezers like me, with hands and eyes that no longer function as they used to.

Most charging connections are now the tiny USB C ports. Small, hard to see on a black background. It's easy to wreck the metal surround by putting the plug in the wrong way.

Put a small dot of liquid paper or white paint in a pen on both the top of the USB plug and on the camera body where you plug in. Lots of frustration eliminated.

The latter are the small ones, and they’re bi-directional – they’ll go in either way.

And I have plenty of it still.

C doesn't care.

I read that the old design saved 8¢ so it was made into the abomination it is. I usually get it right on the third try.
