"A sun pillar is a vertical shaft of light extending upward or downward from the sun, typically appearing during sunrise or sunset when the sun is low on the horizon. These optical phenomena occur when sunlight reflects off hexagonal ice crystals in high-altitude clouds, creating a glowing column often colored red, pink, or white."

Thank You So Much, Talitha, for your knowing reply!! That pillar really stands out in the picture. I've never seen one before. It's quite a phenomenon. Your explanation makes the image all the more unique and special!! (In fact, it's my new wallpaper image.)
