'This is hell. DC's heat index is currently 111 (at 2p Tues), higher than anywhere in the nation.

Our heat advisory was just upgraded to an excessive heat warning. We've hit at least 97 on five straight days. This is the second hottest summer on record so far.'

I couldn't believe it when I checked out the weather in DC (my niece is there). Hot and humid ...YUK!!! I remember living in Center City, Phila and we were wet from sweat as soon as we left any place with A/C. I graduated college and an A/C window unit was my gift.
