being charged with raping the 40 or so girls the Palm Beach police had ready to testify, he ended up being charged soliciting prostitution from one 17 year old. He got a few months, but was allowed to leave the jail every morning via his chauffer and return by 10 each night.
None of the victims was informed about the plea deal, and none of them found out about it until months after it was negotiated.
Acosta later said the whole thing was decided many levels above him, and that Epstein was doing something with espionage.
