They kept her overnight to bait the family to come in so they could detain them for no reason at all.
The reporting said this is what is done in other authoritarian regimes.

She and her family, are all here legally. They are refugees and have been fully vetted and not criminals.
So sorry this happened to you!

I do not know the family personally. I am very glad that they did not fall for it.

I am very angry that the regime did this. VERY angry.
