Snow Hill mayor says he won't run for another term
SNOW HILL, N.C. (WITN) - The mayor of one Greene County town says he won’t run for re-election.
During Wednesday’s budget meeting, Snow Hill Mayor Dennis Liles said he will not run for re-election.
“I love this town, and I was town commissioner for two years, and mayor for 14 years, and I just think it’s time for me to just move on and give it somebody else’s eyes to maybe put a better future in Snow Hill,” Liles said. “I’ve done everything that I’ve wanted to do and everything that I’m proud of, and so I’m happy.”
He will stay in the role until December 31.
