Summit County Board of Elections announces new ballot drop box location, early voting traffic changes, shuttle service

AKRON, Ohio – With early voting set to begin in Ohio on Tuesday, the Summit County Board of Elections announced there will be a new location for the ballot drop box (temporary) and new traffic changes at the Early Vote Center to reduce congestion and delays for voters.

For the 2024 General Election, the ballot drop box has been temporarily relocated to 450 Grant St. in Akron. All incoming and exiting traffic must turn right, according to the Board of Elections.

To get to the Early Vote Center, turn into 470 Grant St. (Board of Elections). If coming from the south, take Wolf Ledges Parkway, turn right onto Wheeler Street and then turn right onto Grant Street to enter 470 Grant St.

The ballot drop box is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week for those dropping off their own ballot. Ballots must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
