RESULT: Conservatives have lost 2 critical school board seats they held in Fort Bend, Texas.
This board adopted one of TX's most restrictive book banning policies, on a 5-2 vote.
Voters ousted a conservative incumbent. And the right-wing candidate lost race to replace a retiring conservative.

it turns out that when you elect the most personally unpleasant human beings in your community to the school board you usually come to regret it in short order

RESULT: Voters in Mansfield, Texas, have ousted three conservative members of their local school board tonight.
This is a school board that has been at the frontlines of book-banning in Texas, as you can see here: https://fortworthreport.org/2025/03/19/mansfield-isd-trustees-approve-library-books-every-month-now-the-policy-might-go-statewide/

Another case in point: elected school board members in Butler and Berks counties in Pennsylvania that elected Moms For Liberty candidates - and finally tossed them, tired of their bigotry and politics.
I have often posted that once conservative Republicans have to live under the dystopia they think they want - they will flip!
