A cold and windy Tuesday is in store for the D.C. area on Veterans Day, with highs only reaching the mid to upper 40s but itll feel even chillier.
Wind chills will make conditions feel like the teens and 20s early in the day, with strong northwest winds gusting between 30 and 40 mph from late morning through mid-afternoon.
By the afternoon, wind chills will climb into the mid-30s, said 7News First Alert Senior Meteorologist Brian van de Graaff. Its definitely going to be one of those days where you need to bundle up, no matter what time of day youre outdoors.

His illness was likely caused by the unsanitary water supply in Washington, D.C., at the time, rather than from the cold he caught while delivering his long inauguration speech without a coat, as is commonly believed.
