Equipment maker to close North Bend plant, 117 workers face layoffs

Equipment manufacturer Terex Corp. (NYSE: TEX) is closing its aerials plant in North Bend.

Terex disclosed the decision in a Thursday Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the state of Washington. The facility's 117 workers could face layoffs if they don't get roles at other Terex locations, the company said in the notice.

The plant will close no later than Nov. 30, with the layoffs starting July 20. Terex hasn't responded to a request for comment on the closure.

The facility is at 47010 and 47020 SE 144th St. Terex's aerials subsidiary is Genie, which makes lifts for job sites.
