Fond du Lac, Oakfield school districts have April election referendums

In addition to Fond du Lac City Council, Fond du Lac School District Board and two Fond du Lac County Board races, major aspects of the 2026 spring election include operational referendums for Fond du Lac and Oakfield school districts.

Prior to the April 7 election, Fond du Lac has one race for the primary election Feb. 17 to decide the Town of Fond du Lac Board Supervisor 1 between Scott Blamey, Matt Newton and Lisa Rolfe.

If you are planning to vote in the primary, you can request an absentee ballot online through Feb. 12 – but return it as soon as possible so it can be counted on time. Or you can go to the polls between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Feb. 17.

In April, Fond du Lac School District will ask voters to authorize exceeding the revenue limit by $7.5 million per year for four years. This is down from the $10 million the district asked in the 2025 referendum, lowered after feedback from the community.
