Do Any Of You Have Ad Block Plus Premium? Should I Get It?

I'm thinking about subscribing to Ad Block Plus Premium. The subscription is only $4/month and it blocks those annoying pop ups that ask you to accept cookies whenever you visit certain sites. I'm just wondering if there are any downsides to subscribing. Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

But IMO $48 p.a. is a lot of money to pay to block ads on your computer.

I used AdBlock for coupla decades but switched to UBlock origin a while back and it's a really good program. I've never really worried about those cookie messages, but on reading your post I realised how annoying they can be. I can't say for sure, because I need to find a page with cookies permission popup, but I suspect that Ublock origin browser extension will block these things too.

I've already used is several times to block elements on a page that are particularly annoying - images, some html divs, etc. If it can do this, it should be able to block cookie permissions. Perhaps someone here has used it for this and can chime in.

Meanwhile, I'll report back when I find a cookies notice to block.
