All of a sudden my computer cannot find my printer. Any suggestions? Was working last week.

(26,519 posts)Most common (happened to my ex) is that the printer lost wireless contact.
She just moved it closer. Otherwise, might be in the settings (wireless password on the printer, if wireless)
But how could it forget?
Check that its control panel (if any) shows it connected to the network
I dislike such things and use ethernet cable. No, I can't type a wireless password on that idiot kepyad on the printer!
Laziness is the mother of invention.

(28,578 posts)Solution from the microsoft gods that worked for me was to power down the computer (not sleep--shut down). Turn the printer on, then turn on the computer. It was basically that simple, although much aggravation on my part occurred, going through steps to delete the printer, download the drivers again, re-install, and set to default---THEN finding out this was the solution.
this link got me there: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/download-and-install-the-latest-printer-drivers-4ff66446-a2ab-b77f-46f4-a6d3fe4bf661
IDK what an ARM PC is, but apparently I have one, or at least someone thinks I do.....
