Productivity increased 0.3 percent in the nonfarm business sector in the first quarter of 2026; unit labor costs increased 1.8 percent (seasonally adjusted annual rates). In manufacturing, productivity increased 3.2 percent and unit labor costs increased 2.2 percent

it makes my job easier keeping updated information on economic reports (which sadly I've let fall into disrepair, but once I get a certain large personal task done and out of the way, hopefully this weekend, I'll be able to do at least a little something about that.

In other news, 10 minutes before the close, the S&P 500 is down 2.4% for the day, on fears today's jobs report (2 X the level that two surveys -- Bloomberg's and Dow Jones -- had expected) may force the Fed to raise rates
