Viva Energy has officially fired up Australia’s first public hydrogen refueling station for commercial vehicles, right in Geelong, Victoria. The station opened its pumps on June 13, 2025, marking a big moment for the future of clean transport in the country.

This isn’t your average fuel stop. The $61.2 million site features a powerful 2.5MW electrolyser that cranks out green hydrogen, made from nothing but recycled water and renewable electricity.
