Thought of a question to ask the group...

..just out of pure curiosity, what is your primary reason or motivation to be frugal?

Primarily to save money, but other reasons motivate me too.

Be more self sufficient and get closer to a gift economy rather than a growth economy that relies on trading ecologicial and social resources for $.

Saving money is not quite as big a motivator as being independent of it.

And for me less spend = less worry.

I am inadvertently frugal most of the time. If I want to do something less frugal I do, but I find most of what people spend lots of money on to be.. unnecessary, at best. And Im not going to follow suite just to be like everyone else.
