So warm here so I’m going to have an Independence Day free-for-all. Open the refrigerator door and be random.

~Maybe some cottage cheese, watermelon, leftover chicken grilled with tomatoes and kale.

~ Pudding for dessert

~Lemon water

I was awakened by thunder from an unscheduled nap. Strong storms in all directions except the north. We have a storm warning for the next half hour. TJ will head out to work later and there are a lot of power failures in that direction so traffic lights will be out.

I'm making a mug of Irish breakfast tea and will consider food a little later. A little porch sitting to view the storms might be good.

I've been looking at https://poweroutage.us/area/state/virginia and mousing over my county and city and see that little dot of Charlottesville in Albemarle County is at 38% off.

so you really are lucky.

I just put an update on that thread of a story that came out an hour ago and it said that over 100,000 New Jerseyans were without power today as a result of the storm last night.

A storm is imminent now. I want to go to the store but I'm not risking being out. Meanwhile, the fireworks are going.

Ducky seems more annoyed than frightened by the fire works. They are not very close.

I came down with the flu. Probably something I caught at my friend's funeral.

2 deviled eggs. and a dab of baked beans. I cooked everything yesterday. The only thing I did today was peel the eggs and devil them.

My daughter dropped off some black raspberries. I had a biscuit leftover from the other day, so I cooked the berries on the stove and poured them over the biscuit, topped with cool whip, tasted like cobbler

It's a leftover casserole. Rotini with tomato beef sauce and cheese. It also has some summer squash in it.

Cherry pie, a small no sugar added one. Ducky had a little of the outer crust. He was a happy camper.

TJ got to work OK.
